A new experience in publication work

I got the chance to collaborate with a talented pool of artists and design visuals for BOBLAND Magazine’s editorial, website, and social media presence.

Taking on a publication role quickly became a proactive challenge as a designer where I was able to apply spatial design and creative thinking into an editorial.

Given a different realm to architecture, BOBLAND helped me develop a new perspective and cadence to storytelling — allowing me to embrace the whimsical and bold nature of the staff.

Chapter No. 2: The New Americana

Capturing social media presence through visual campaigns

Using quick motion to graphically visualize striking imagery, BOBLAND’s social media campaign encapsulates The New Americana’s loud, sharp nature.

In a world of censorship, it is sometimes hard to fully “express” — that is, of course, not a holdback for BOBLAND. The staff advocates an emblem of no fear against its competitors through personal articles of their experiences in the fashion industry. Dialogue on what makes the staff so unique shows the emotional rawness of the behind-the-scenes.

Personalizing the magazine through raw moments

“The New Americana defines the imagery, objects, fashion, and concepts that will be associated with my generation of Americans.”

— BOB, Creative Director of BOBLAND

A canvas for BOBLAND’s story & platform to grow engagement

Developing a visual image for BOBLAND became a mission to encapsulate their energy through an interactive interface. With a colorful palette, loud font, and fun play of icons, the pages create a liveliness to compliment the fluidity of BOBLAND’s aesthetic.
